My experience at UW so far has helped me in many ways. I am learning about new subjects and working at a higher level than I have ever before, and I am looking forward to the many learning opportunities I know I will have here. As a recipient of the Alumni Association Scholarship, I feel a connection to the many students who came before me, and who have used their UW education to excel in dozens of fields across America and around the world. It is a tremendous confidence builder for my own future -- I know I am getting a great start at the University of Wyoming, and I can follow in their footsteps.
With the help of the Alumni Association Scholarship I have been able to pursue these opportunities without the stress of paying for school and it has allowed me to focus on my classes. I feel honored to have been chosen and it has opened up so many doors and I am very appreciative.

I am grateful I was selected to receive this prestigious award. This scholarship did not only help me to meet my financial obligations, it boosted my self-esteem and helped me to gain the confidence I would need to succeed at UW. It made it possible for me to focus on my education without having to worry about the monetary aspect of college.
Also, I am proud to now be associated with the University of Wyoming Alumni Association. I consider its members to be excellent mentors and role models, something I also hope to be someday. I appreciate their willingness to help foster my learning and help me to achieve my educational goals.
I will graduate in the Spring of 2012 with a BS degree in psychology. From there I plan to attend graduate school and attain a master’s degree in occupational therapy. I have discovered the myriad of OT services that are needed in a wide variety of settings. I know occupational therapy is the right filed for me, one that will bring me fulfillment in my professional life.
Once again, thank you to the Alumni Association for helping me on my way to a bright future!
