Wyoming Student Alumni Association (WyoSAA)
WyoSAA is a great way to get involved on campus! A recognized student organization since 1982, the group connects current students with alumni through a variety of activities. WyoSAA’s biggest event is coordinating the Homecoming parade each fall. The parade is a great time – even if it does require getting up early on Homecoming morning!
So, what makes WyoSAA different from other RSOs?
— Open to interested students of all grade levels
— Group social activities
— Meeting schedules that reflect demand
— Personal networking opportunities with alumni
— No fundraising required
— Ability to coordinate high profile campus events
— Wide variety of possible activities
WyoSAA also serves to educate current students about their roles as future alumni and to cultivate a spirit of giving back to one’s alma mater – even before graduation. The group works closely with the Alumni Association and, in fact, is fully funded by them. This support means that, unlike other RSOs, WyoSAA does not have to fundraise. It also means that WyoSAA has fewer limits on what service and social activities it chooses to do. In addition to Homecoming weekend events, other group activities include planning the semi-annual Senior Send Offs, helping with Alumni Association events, and selecting an honoree for the Outstanding Faculty Award.
