Volunteer Opportunities
Sponsor an Event | Board of Directors | Recruiting | Multicultural Alumni Committee
Active volunteers are an important part of the UW Alumni Association. In fact, our governing board of directors consists of volunteers - 45 UWAA members who give their time and efforts for a four year term. Volunteering and becoming more involved with the university and the UW Alumni Association can be your way to give back and to build life-long friendships with fellow UW Alums.
We encourage interested volunteers to work with the Alumni Association, exploring various opportunities to make a positive difference for UW. Please contact the Alumni Association office at (307) 766-4166 or email uwalumni@uwyo.edu. We look forward to visiting with you!
Not only does being a volunteer benefit the university and UWAA, but it also benefits you. Each time you volunteer to host an event, to serve on a board, or to give of your time otherwise, you increase both personal and professional networks. Get started today, and see how fulfilling volunteer work can be!
Sponsor an Event
Each year we host an average of 44 functions. We would love to help you plan a UW Alumni reunion here on campus or in your area! Together we can generate an idea for an event such as a golf outing, TV game watch party, wine tasting, meet the deans or anything you enjoy!
The UWAA staff will get a list of all alumni in your area, send out invitations, work with the venue, organize catering, set up a check in area and work out all the details for you! All you do is help us find a great place for everyone to meet! We don’t ask too much of our volunteers, we want people to get involved, tell their friends and get busy having fun and reconnecting and promoting UW!
If you already have an idea in mind, complete this form and you will be contacted shortly. If you have questions, are just starting the planning process, or want to meet other people in your area who attended the University of Wyoming, please contact Holly. We want to introduce you to fellow alumni and help keep your communication and networking lines open.

Multicultural Alumni Committee
The University of Wyoming Multicultural Alumni Committee (UW-MAC), established in 2008, will provide minority alumni opportunities to be involved and stay connected with the UW-MAC and UW while networking with and enjoying fellow UW alumni and friends. The program focuses on outreach to minority and under-represented groups, including African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, Asian American, International and bi-racial alumni through specially designed, culturally sensitive events. In addition, the UW –MAC will strive to create a comfortable environment for networking and social interaction through the many events it co-sponsors with other organizations, like the UW Alumni Association.
In addition to providing special events, UW–MAC will assist the University with student recruitment by participating in Minority Admitted Student Receptions, phone calls, and face to face meeting with parents, families, etc. Minority Alumni will help the university obtain its most diverse freshman class in the school's history.
The committee’s objectives are as follows:
* To provide an avenue for minority alumni to develop a vested interest in minority alumni to advance the institution.
* To engage minority alumni in the Minority Alumni Association and the University of Wyoming.
* To promote scholarship among deserving students of the University of Wyoming.
